Well I’m not a Fish. But this quote makes me think of another struggle in my life. The one where I have struggled to be like the gazelles.
I just have to come to terms that I’m an ox.
All these women around me on the treadmill going all fast, light on their feet… they are the gazelles of the gym
Meanwhile … at 4.5 miles per hour I’m huffing, puffing, sometimes spitting and snorting, shaking my treadmill and the treadmills all around me… it’s a beastly sight.
I’m just not a gazelle and I should never feel bad about that. As long as I compare myself to other women who are different that I am, I will fail to see and appreciate my own strengths.
I am what I am. I’m more like a beastly strong ox. I can make the ground shake. I am strong. I am tough. I am beautiful and simply made for picking up and moving heavy things. . .that friend you call when you need help moving.
